Alzheimer's/ Dementia/ Prevention:
There are multiple different types of Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease is the most common one. Other types include Lewy Body, Vascular, and Frontotemporal to name a few. Regardless of the type of Dementia, this neurological condition can become quite debilitating. However, recent research shows that there is something that can be done to help treat the symptoms of the disease as well as prevent its progression. A combination of nutrition, supplements, lifestyle, and cognitive exercises are all key components to managing this disease. Our provider Wendy, is ReCODE certified and is able to help you navigate you or your loved one's journey and fight against this horrible disease. Click here to learn more about Dr. Dale Bredesen's ReCODE program. ReCODE is also a great program for preventing cognitive decline in those who are at risk for developing Alzheimer's or Dementia, or for people who are experiencing mild subjective issues with cognition or memory. It is a wonderful program and it works very well. However, understanding how all the ReCODE components work together can be quite complex and often taxing to patients and families. We have extensive training in this area. Wendy's own mother has Alzheimer's so she knows first hand how effective this program can be. ZOE Integrative Medicine also has occupational therapists available who are trained in providing cognitive therapy for those experiencing cognitive decline. Our comprehensive treatment program offers true hope for patients and families suffering from this disease. The majority of our medical and therapy services are covered by Medicare. (Additional fees may apply for functional labs and testing)

Concussion Management:
Previously, post mTBI/ Concussion protocols consisted of rest until symptoms subside, completely removing an individual from activity. New research is challenging this theory and encouraging a fine balance between resting the brain and engaging the brain. Concussion evaluation and management by the nurse practitioner is typically covered by insurance. Our NP, Wendy, is qualified to diagnose and treat concussions as well as establish return-to-learn and return-to-play guidelines.
We offer in person, or online testing through Creyos to establish a baseline cognitive level which is recommended prior to contact sports. Having a baseline is very helpful if you sustain a concussion as it provides comparative data post injury. If you do not have a baseline, the test is still beneficial and the results are compared to normative values. We are also affiliated with an Occupational Therapists who specializes in cognitive rehab should you require post-concussive therapy. Our systematic recovery model breaks recovery into 3 stages, decreasing the recovery time from an injury while creating life lone tools for continued brain performance throughout life. From assessment to treatment to life long growth, we individualize the process and assist you along the way.

Cognoscopy (full cognitive evaluation) $250:
What is a Cognoscopy? It's an idea more than an actual word. You have heard of microscopy, arthroscopy, endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, etc. These are all words to describe taking a deeper look into a particular body part or area. A "COGNOSCOPY" is exactly that; taking a deeper look into your cognitive health and finding out how your brain is doing. Prevention is EVERYTHING when it comes to brain health! Knowing where you stand now is the first step to improving your own brain health for the future. Anyone can do this "cognoscopy" evaluation, but it is HIGHLY recommended for people with a family history of Alzheimer's and Dementia or if you are experiencing ANY memory issues or feeling that your brain is not as sharp as it used to be. Early detection is absolutely critical. Once areas of the brain die, they are very difficult to recover.2 visits are included in this. Includes full cognitive assessment.

- Detailed cognitive assessment sent to you via email that you complete from the comfort of your own home. The Cognitive Assessment is from Creyos (formerly Cambridge Brain Sciences) which is a scientifically validated program based on 30 years of research. If desired, an order can also be provided to test for the APOE4 genetic variant which puts someone at high risk for developing dementia/ Alzheimer's Disease.
- Order for a NeuroQuant MRI which looks at all of your brain structures and compares them in a normative data base so you can see where you are compared to other people your age. Click here to learn more about Dr. Dale Bredesen's ReCODE program. Our provider Wendy, is ReCODE certified and is able to help you navigate you or your loved one's journey and fight against this horrible disease. Wendy has also received additional training in administering the MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) which is a quick assessment to evaluate cognitive decline and is used in the ReCODE program.
Furthermore, ZOE Integrative Medicine has occupational therapists available who are trained in providing cognitive therapy for those experiencing cognitive decline. Our comprehensive treatment program offers true hope for patients and families suffering from this disease. The majority of our medical and therapy services are covered by Medicare however there are some additional services that are required for patients who join the ReCODE program that are NOT covered by Medicare. As such, we have a low cost ReCODE program fee of $200 per month with a 6 month minimum commitment. This program fee allows our providers to do all the extensive additional things that are required for a patient to have success in the ReCODE program and gives patients direct access to get questions answered quickly by the provider when needed. Additionally, because our provider is a certified practitioner, the labs can be run through insurance which is significant cost savings to the patient ($855 savings for the first set of labs, and a total of $1824 in savings for the first year, just in labs!).
For people who are not going to be billing insurance, the initial evaluation is one time cost of $250 and includes 2 visits with the provider and then the monthly ReCODE program fee is $400 per month with a 6 month minimum commitment and includes 1-2 direct visits per month with the provider, as well as text and email access to the provider for additional questions as needed.
Our goal is to help you be successful and save your cognition for years to come! The ReCODE program is extensive but it works! Frequent support can make or break yours or your loved one's success in the program.
